Connecting the neighborhood
one seedling at a time

Bricktown seedlings was founded to honor the earth workers and laborers who built, outfitted, and fed our city over the last century.

Our mission is to build a community of resilience by growing and sharing high-quality produce in order to address food insecurity and lack of green space.

This desire to grow food to meet the needs of our communities, despite access to farm land, pushed us to produce our first seedlings in 2021. Seedlings, like bricks, have lives beyond themselves. They become apart of a bigger ecosystem and design which serves many. We want to be connected to all of you in this way. We nurture our plants in Roger's Park, an established community care centered neighborhood, where we will continue to coordinate with dedicated mutual aid centered organizations to connect our neighbors to the awesome potential of edible plants.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDERS

Ash Luciani is a  plant wrangler, mutual aid advocate, and Roger's Park resident. Together with Laura Danger and Rachel Kimpton (long time educators and gardeners) they created Bricktown seedlings with a shared desire to keep neighbors fed and reimagine community care practices with a mindset of abundance.

Food grown for neighbors,
by neighbors.

Since March 2020, we have had to rethink what community, support, and gathering can be.

A neighborhood seedling operation provides an appreciation for the process of growing food, an opportunity to think creatively about where we can plant, and a catalyst for building a stronger community through beautifying our neighborhood. We are dedicated to using our wealth of connections, funds, and plant know how to further create a safety net of care for our neighbors.
